I am in a Japanese class work nightmare!! I got THREE make up quzzies Monday, Chapter 1 test Wensday, and a reading test Friday. That does not include the homework and lab I'll have from that week as well in Japanese or my math class. Can I say screwed? X.x

Today was a very... I don't know how to describe it. I took the bus to school, I'm using it when ever I don't have to be somewhere right after school to save gas, and everything was pretty much normal until just after my Japanese class was released. I was on the sixth floor of the learning center building, my class is on the fifth, heading to the escaltors to go to the seventh to pop in and say hi to my friend Lythe who was at work when all of the sudden alarms went off. Not the blaring fire alarms but others that were like those but had speakers on them. It was very soft compared to the blaring ear bleeding fire alarms and a message started and was repeated, "An Emergency has been detected. Please proceed to the nearest stairway and exit the building, do not use elevators or esclatores." Everyone with in eye shot, including myself kinda stood there like, WTF?. I've never heard an alarm like that, it was freaking polite.

I was the only one who knew where the nearest stairs were! So down five flights, yes five because the second floor was actually ground level, we went quiet calmly but it was weird too. No fire trucks or even city police, only one campus police car showed up before Lythe and I headed to the student center for an early lunch. We weren't even there for twenty minuted before heading back to the learning center and by then everything was as if it never happened, not even a whisper. So she started up the escalators while I went to getting copies for my lab and then going to the language lab which ironicly is on the seventh floor too!

I didn't have work today so I got my work done, turned in my papers and lab sheets in to my Japanese teacher, went to another building to catch up with my History professor from last semester, and finally headed off campus to my bus stop. I called Lythe while I was walking, she was off work and heading to her car. She found out what set the alarms off, a burned muffin. Thats right, a burned muffin! Just how sensitive are those smoke alarms?

My bus was late by 12 minutes, 10 is the norm in this city, and my ride home was longer than it should have been with so little traffic. Other than a squirrel literally driving my dog Yoko crazy its been pretty quiet. I put up mail baskets by our bedroom doors, hopefully my housemate will put my mail in mine, I still have three tax papers I'm waiting on and I don't want to have to search the house everyday!!!

So here I am in my room, just finishing writing my stuff for rent and car insurance to go out in the mail tomorrow. I've got a little bit of more studying to do for Japanese before I can call it a night. Tomorrow I'll be at my friend Patrick's house and he will be tutoring me on my Japanese stuff for a number of hours most likely. I only hope it goes smoothly and some of the things start to make sense I've been boggled on.
