Damage at school
Sep. 8th, 2008 12:27 pmWell, apparently I'm not as behind in math as I thought I was going to be. Unlike the rest of my class the reason i didn't have my homework done was because obviously I've been sick. Because the majority didn't do their homework due Friday, so the teacher got after them and reassigned it for Monday. And again a majority didn't do it! I had about a 1/3 done, being still stumped on the latter half.
So after class I went and finally got my parking permit. I ran into my friend Richard who lost his homework just minutes before where I walked too. He looses his thing all the time, even his wallet during the summer semester. The stress is getting to him (finally) and he wasn't all smiles as usual. I headed to the student center to get something to eat real quick and then heaed to my history class. He's doing things a little different, and I'm not liking it. Before he'd put dates of everything he'd speak about, kind of an outline, on the board. Now he's only putting what the book outlines in each of the chapterbacks. Me not liking.
After that I headed to the Moody building to see how the damage was. You could see fans and blowers standing around on the bottom floor and each floor had varying different damages, mostly the bottom boarders on the walls were missing, some celing stuff taken down and a faint odor .All the offices were sections off on the 5th floor. but surprisingly however the classrooms were not. My Japanese class is on the 6tth floor this year, so I'm good there. I went searching and located where my Japanese teacher's office would currently be. The whole foriegn language department are in two rooms with desk for each teacher with a computer, but that's it. No place to store things or anything. My poor teacher, I wonder how much of the teacher aids she had stored are damaged.
So now I'm resting after giving Lucky a quick walk, its not as hot as usual today. I'll be getting ready for work soon, I'll be on my own again today and I don't know what the lesson will by, oi.
On one more note, we're eyeing Ike, computer models are showing him heading for Texas right now. However the Hurrican Season has been very unpredictable this year.
