BINGO!!... sorta
May. 20th, 2008 06:28 pmI landed a summer job, but it only lasts a month. I originally thought it wasn't possible because I was told it starts the day after the students are released. The day after I'll be heading up to Austin for the Democratic Convention thing. But in reality it starts the following Monday. I won't have a break after the convention but its all good. The job is only for 4 days, not 5, a week. 1:30-5:30. We usually are instructed to clock in between 30-45 mins before that for prep so its good.
Its a summer program from the distrcit I work at. So I'll be unemployed 2 and 1/2 months not 3 and 1/2 months if I'm not able to find a job after wards till the school years starts up again. Its really going to be a test for me. It's for children who have had difficulty passing this school year. I'll be working with a single grade from six different schools. I may or may not see any familiar faces in what ever grade I'll have. Only 20 students are in the program from each school, that's a total from all grades.
So I feel a little bit of pressure is off my shoulders, for now that is.
