Seriously I found this book by accident at the bookstore! I didn't have enough time to sit down and read it. I don't have the money with college to just buy it on a whim since I just bought my textbooks for the coming semester. But flipping through it took references from ALL the transformers series and comics with the exception of RofF.

A few dollars go a long way...
Aug. 6th, 2009 01:19 pmI want to scream.
Borders used to send me text messages for my coupons. They stop that a year ago. How I miss it. Last night I went to get a book I've been waiting for over 4 months. When I got home I checked my email and there sitting in my inbox was a 40% off coupon. The book was only $8, but as tight as I am on money, you get the idea. If they hadn't stopped the text messaging I would have received it while at the store or before I left the house. But I hold my anger because I read a report last year that said Borders was in trouble and if a miracle didn't happen they would be shutting their doors in 2010. I am seeing evidence of it. They keep the literature, romance, sci-fi/fantasy and all mainstream books stocked. But their Music section is only a 1/6 of what used to be there. They don't have promotion stands out except for twilight. They don't have the new book tables for hardcovers and paperbacks, now they have a small shelf. The store looks simply a nice set up for a lot of space. But I'm a regular and I noticed how its thinning. I'll go to borders at least once a month, if simply to wander and relax. I haven't been to the other two stores in the city, but now I'm getting curious. Are they in the same shape? I hope this is all an effort to pay off their dept nation-wide than a prequel to closing forever. I prefer Borders over B&N any day. B&N has come a long way in selection in the last two compared how they sat for years but they don't have a very friendly feel. Its always dark compared to Borders. If Borders closes what is to keep B&N from jacking up their prices? They used to be SO expensive and only in the year or two have come down on prices and that I believe is because of Borders.

I just looked at my account. I'm just over $500. THAT'S it! I've paid most of my bills but one of my monthly things I usually get isn't coming in this month, so I'm short $250. Another check from another source of $200 hasn't come in yet either... I haven't been able find out of that's in the mail. I still have my cell bill, car payment, and the dog's health insurance. That's about $300 right there. Those are the last major bills. I had to stock up on foods and household goods this month, about $200 already. I know one reason I'm so short is because I had to buy my last book for school, which was a $150 by itself, with my money this month. The money my uncle sent me last month wasn't enough for it. I also had to spend $30 to get a racket for Raquetball class. I couldn't wait since courses start this month. If I'm estimating right I'll have $400 for food, gas, ect for the rest of the month if that other $200 check comes in. I usually don't get that low till much later. But I had to pay a higher amount on my credit card because I had to use it to pay for the rental car last month AND I had to pay over a $100 in different medical bills just for payments.I haven't ordered Lucky's meds for Sept. Thankfully the vet finally put refills so instead of taking two weeks for the meds to get to me it should only take a week... Thats about $70. I'm going to wait until the near the end of month and see what I have. I ordered extra for July and Aug because of him being at camp, but he hasn't needed more pain meds than usual so I have a small surplus, his heart meds are a different matter. Just seeing my account so low with still three weeks of the month to go gets my skin crawling.
