She's bringing me 'gifts'. She didn't do that when I lived in North Texas!!!! At first it was a lizard, dead of course. I'm like, well shit, because I know cats do this sometimes. But what make me want to throw up is today when I was leaving the house I find another lizard and a song bird. Both long dead, EW. I am angry about the song bird, I think I'm going to have to 'try' to have a talk with my housemate about trying to keep her indoor all night till mid morning. Song birds are usually caught and killed in early morning hours when they're singing.

At the same time I can't be angry with my cat, she is a cat. And just goes to show how good of a hunter she is, she's declawed after all. And yet my brain automatically tries to figures how she caught and killed.... ::shudders:: >.<

I used to have a great big old orange tom named Leo, who was declawed in the front. That cat was so proficient at catching birds in my mom's garden that even years after his death the birds still didn't come around. It probably didn't help that my mom had up tons of birdhouses, and a great big birdbath... It was so tempting, and then Leo would hide under the hostas until they were in the birdbath, and WHAM. All we ever found was feathers.

At least he didn't insist on giving us gifts. >_>

I know what you mean. I had cats when I was a kid and we'd always find a circle of feathers around the house from time to time. This is the first time I've had a cat do this. But to make it yucky is she's brining them inside the house through the trap door for the dogs!

x.x I can not say ew enough.
