Argh, I just can't get a break!!! My vet decided to start a new policy. And say's I'm the inspiration. argh. $5 for every new prescription order called in to an another pharmacy, the net in my case. $3 for every refill. The reason I'm doing it only so I can save up to $50 a month on the stupid shit so that $50 goes toward the pet insurance for all three of my pets. Damn it.

-head hits desk-

Am I going to have to switch vets that I use to order meds now?

I go there as is for single does of their heartworm and flea protects every month, I can't afford to get a six month pack for them right now. That's like... almost $60. Isn't my $60 to them that way enough? jeez. thanks dude.

Its just... so freaking annoying. If the meds weren't cheaper where I order them now I wouldn't be going it.

Change fucking vets!

I had to. Our old vet started calling us when we forgot to refill the old dogs heartworm meds. For the love of Pete, she was 10 years old at the time. Then he started in on the your dog is overweight (um... yeah. She is old and we can't convince her get off the sofa). Then he got mad because I adopted Jack from the shelter and a different vet neutered him. I had no control over that, they contract with that vet.

In the end I have a new vet. A country doctor that understands why we don't buy heartworm meds for 12 year old dog. He knows she has tumors and lumps, he doesn't want to touch them unless he has to.

Get another vet! The staff sounds like a bunch of rude bitches, and no paying customer should put up with that shit.

There is only one rude bitch there really. My vet is better than the other ones I've visited, but I think I'm going to have to used my secondary vet for the medication from now on. My regular vet doesn't prescribe anything unless there is a problem to address and it always works. Instead of expensive prescriptions he suggested giving Lucky herbal pills from the supermarket for his liver and it worked. I have the feeling the bitch is part of the reason of this change, making things worse in some way. If this trend continues I'll think of switching but compared to other vets in price and quality he's still top notch.
