Writer's Block: My Biggest Environmental Pet Peeve

[Error: unknown template qotd]The part of the state I live in is in an 19 month drought. We're into water restrictions and because people won't stop watering their lawns on days and times allowed our aquifer is taking hits. Its usually businesses that won't change, more concerned of their lawns that annoy me the most. Littering is up there with the misuse of water around here. A few weeks ago I was cleaning up the remains of Tacocabana bags and about ten beer bottles smashed in front of my house.

In southern California, we too are supposed to be watching water. What really gets me besides the buisnesses insisting upon watering all the time is when the sprinklers are actually broken and the water is all over the place, and apparently they aren't even cited for it! Why can't these places do some water saving landscaping?
