That's Texas for ya. I know they take their guns *very* seriously. And in states like NJ where I grew up, you can't even GET a concealed weapon permit unless you're in law inforcement or something similar. Heck, there are states where Mace isn't even legal to carry! It's a bizarre country we live in.
Not the brightest idea on the planet, but then again how difficult is it to actually get the license? In KS you have to be 21, have a intensive back ground check, pass the looooong training cours and shell out almost $2,000 to just get started.
I do not have a permit, but I had one when I lived in IN, and going to college. I worked as a corrections officer, and didn't have to do anything to get one. Several of my friends here carry, and we always carry when out camping or on over night fishing trips.
lIke I said, I think that the law is weird, but these are college students we are talking about, and not high schoolers (though there is little difference for a couple of years)The concern I have are the drinking parties and underage nonsense that goes on the big campases. Yeah, this sounds more like a move towards culling the stupid from the herd (that is meant in total sarcasm, and not humor)
