[Error: unknown template qotd]Be more recycle and energy concious. I'm already planning that when I move to plub most of my stuff into power strips and turn those off when I leave the house. Ex, I'll have a power strip for my cell charger, Nintendo DS charger, my bluetooth charger, and such. Don't exactly need those wired when my stuff isn't hooked up like when I'm home. Another power strip for my tv, vcr, lcd player, dvd player, you get the idea. I also plan if I'm able to move into my Grandmother's house replace the toliets with more water efficient ones; change all the bubls to engery saves one, that kinds of stuff.

If school life and work allow and my community actually makes it easier to get into them I'll get involved into
community service projects if I can.

People making changes like these everywhere would be a great start. My main concern for Obama is to get the Economy stablize but not forget other issues.

Energy bulbs

Yeah...so I'm just now catching up.

Those energy saving bulbs are a racket. Don't buy them if you can help it. The Euros have been using them for some time now and have finally hit on the realization that they're really bad for the environment. There's a crapload of mercury that goes into the manufacturing process, plus they are piss-poor for lighting up a room (trust me). LED bulbs are the way forward, but they're hard to get. If you can score some, do that instead. Otherwise, just go with the lowest wattage 'normal' bulb you need to light a given area.
