power out

ten min ago the power went out. about 6-8 houses went out too. we got a hold of the power company apparently 380 calls have come in on it. I'm running on battery and tagging from a wireless down the street. I got maybe 2 hours before my battery is out. joy. And its hot and humid, 90 degress outside and its dark with a full moon. my housemate is freaking out about being in the dark, I find that funny. I'm the only one with a flash light too.  They said it will take about 3 hours or so before they get out to solve the problem, I say more like 5 am, blah. Its going to suck in my room, but I almost  feel sorry for my house-mate, whose room isn't as well sealed as mine, its going to be hot there. All I can say is its a good things its night and not day.

wow. that sucks entirely. i hope they get things back up and running quickly for you.

at least you have that two hours worth of battery and a flash light. it could be a lot worse.

Like the ghost and darkness paranoid house-mate I have? No light what so ever and her room is going to be the worst in temp, mahaha. As long as the power comes back on before sun rise I'll be happy, then I can turn the A/C back on before the house literally does become an oven.
