Hit the road jack!
May. 25th, 2008 09:34 pm Twelve hours from now I will be on the road to my Education Conference. I have to be outside waiting for my ride at 7AM, because she has to pick up another student after me, pooh, the doggie day care my dogs are boarded at doesn't open till 7am, meaning it would be lights out where the dogs are, pooh. What amazes me is cheap motels like Super 8 give you free wireless, while fancy hotels charge you. Sad, yes? So while my dogs will be boarded at a day camp with cameras I won't be able to check on them, pooh. I love it when I can because my dogs don't get to play with others, there isn't a single pet park in my city, period. So when they stay there I like to watch them when I can and see if I can see some action. And I have, which surprised the hell out of me when it was the one who is a coward most of the time.
So I'm packing my bag, laying out what will need to go in tomorrow after I've gotten dressed, yada yada. There is just one bad thing. When I signed up I was assuming there would be sessions addressing children, wrong. Every single session I've gone through the finally released program is toward teaching college students... wtf!? >.< Oi. There is one that caught my eye, its 2 hour session on Islam. The media makes it so fucking confusing and I hate being ignorant, so I have something at least. After all, as I found out after I paid my $50 and told my boss at work I was going, I have to write an essay on my trip and then 'teach' others at campus what I learned. OI.
What did I get myself into? o.O
