Writer's Block: Pick an era, any era

[Error: unknown template qotd] Oh, tricky. Tricky because I wouldn't want to live in a time period were personal hygine wasn't important. The dark ages are an automatic out for obvious reasons. First thing comes to mind is Roman Empire, when Augustas was Cesear; The Golden age of Ancient Rome. Maybe some time in Japan, but that is also a tricky place to be in any of its time period. Its hard to 'pick' one because I am so idependent woman and I hate the mind set of how women were treated around the globe in cultures. Picky, picky.
